The Ayta Abellen Bible translation team has been working since 2005. Originally it was composed of: Ptr. Emilio Laurzano, Ptr. Pablito Baun, Rodante Capiendo and Ptr. Rosario Espinosa. In 2006 the team finished the book of Mark and had it published.
In 2007 Ptr. Rosario left the committee while Carmelita Cabasug was added to the committee.
In 2008, Lena Manalaysay helped with comprehension checking and proved so helpful that she was also invited to join the committee.
In 2007-2011 the translation committee finished 10 New Testament books that were published in one volume and dedicated on May 24, 2011. The books include: Luke, Acts, Philippians, 1&2 Thessalonians, 1&2 Timothy, Titus, Philemon, and James.
The team has a draft of the remaining New Testament books and the team is working to finish these books so they can be submitted to consultants for checking and final approval.
